Documentary ‘Racing Extinction

When a documentary is crowned the best of its genre for an entire decade, a master like Oscar winner Louie Psihoyos (The Cove) is behind it. With the help of state-of-the-art equipment, his team of artists and activists succeed in making never-before-seen images accessible to the world in ‘Racing Extinction’, which vividly shows how we are heading towards mass extinction. Dieter Paulmann, founder and CEO of the Okeanos Foundation for the Sea, is executive producer of this multi-award-winning documentary. Psihoyos writes about the successful cooperation between Okeanos and his team:

Dieter Paulmann is one of the most accomplished and inspirational business leaders and is now using his acquired wisdom to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems. Dieter was fearless at helping us tackle large complicated issues and empowered our team to accomplish the unimaginable. He enabled historic projection events of endangered species on iconic buildings like the United Nations Headquarters, The Empire State Building and the Vatican that achieved over 5 billion media views. Under his leadership Racing Extinction became one of the most watched documentaries in history, reaching over 36 million people on its first weekend launch. Much more than an Executive Producer, Dieter was Chief Architect for the Impossible.
