Okeanos Foundation Chairman Dieter Paulmann guides you through our summer-long OCEAN PEOPLES exhibit at the United Nations Visitors Lobby in NYC in this video.

Launched at the UN Oceans Conference, the exhibit illustrates our mission to support traditional, fossil fuel-free sea transportation in the Pacific by showcasing the ingenuity of traditional Pacific sailing canoes and sustainable modern technologies. We’re honored to have joined these powerful Pacific voices at the conference: President Tommy Remengesau, Palau Mission, Ambassador Ngedikes Olai Uludong, navigators Raihania Tipoki and Tawhana Chadwick.

Featuring photographs by Natalia Tsoukala, Rui Camilo , Murray Watson, Sam Low, Keobel Sakuma and Steve Thomas.

Organized in partnership with Palau Mission and Global Island Partnership
